I am a short story writer, essayist, satirist, poet, and freelance writer. I am currently working on my first novel, a speculative dual-narrative feminist story. My humorous chapbook of poetry about Paris, France is complete and looking for a small press home.
I'm open to freelance writing gigs on higher education, K-12 education, pop culture critique, and craft writing. I am also available for guest blogging and contest judging opportunities. Check out my Creative Writing Publications or my Freelance Portfolio.
When I'm not writing, I'm working on my business, Point of View Consulting, which specializes in writing coaching for high-stakes essays and applications. Writing doesn't have to be everyone's favorite thing, but I can promise that I'll make it much more fun!
Though I am temporarily living in Wyoming, I have ties to the Rust Belt, the Midwest, the South, and Tokyo. I once completed a solo-drive across the country with only my dog for company. I received my MFA in Fiction from Boise State University in 2016 where I worked at the Writing Center, the Idaho Review literary journal, and taught First-Year Writing and Fiction courses. I received my BA in Creative Writing and Social & Cultural History from Carnegie Mellon University where I worked on the Carnegie Mellon University Press. If you'd like, check out my writer CV or read my most recent interview.
