Excited to share that another poem from my Paris series, “A Red Painted Poppy,” is out in Variant Literature’s summer issue! I’d taken my flower print Doc Martens shoes to Paris in 2016 when this moment happened. I lived off bakeries, day-old baguettes, and cheese so I could go to all of the museums and gardens instead.
